Brake Pads & Rotors
My dealership said that I have to get new front and rear brake pads because they are really worn down. Sometimes I hear a high pitched screeching sound while driving...is this the wear indicator? Also, they said since I am getting new pads I should have the rotors machined. Is this true or are they just trying to do more work? Finally, they recommended a brake fluid change. All this for a little less then $700. Is this a ripoff?

Pads are $80 for the whole set, machining rotors is about the same.
Brake fluid is $10-20, even for the good stuff (ATE or Motul).
There is not $500 worth of labor in that job....no way.
If you don't want to or can't DIY, at least get the parts and have an independent shop do the labor. That stealership is shafting you.
