Body damage question
I just dented my car! Not too happy...after five years of ownership I have gotton really lazy and went over a snow/ice covered curb and dented the passenger side of my car where the side strakes attach (I do not have the side strakes). The dent is about the size of a baseball - is this something that can be pound out? Costs? I'll have to check on the morning if anything else was f*cked up....ARGH!!!!

I took a curb too close and it pushed in the same place. The paintless dent repair guys said there is no way to get behind and knock it out. You have to go a full body shop repair: drill, pull, bondo, and repaint. I haven't gotten an estimate and am just living with it for now.

Where exactly on the rocker panel? Towards the front or rear wheels? (I dont know where the strakes attach). Just like others said, PDR will not work, the rocker moulding is very thick metal, so its basically normal repair, weld, pull, sand, filler and paint. Depends on how big the dent is, if its baseball sized, I would say about a 2 hour repair job, not including refinish times. I

I am so annoyed with myself! :banghead:
The area I damaged is the underside of the rocker panel (still visible) just ahead of the rear wheel...sorry for no pics - it would take me longer to put one up than repairing the damage...
Thank you for all the real responses, I think I knew the answer but I just wanted to vent :(
