Default bike carrier for S2000?

Does there exist a bike carrier for the S2000? I found a site that makes a universal carrier: http://www.sportsimportsltd.com/unliplmobica.html

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I would advise against this. I was as anxious as you to get a bike rack for the S but after learning more about it a decided against it.

The trunk is WAY to flimsy to support the weight of a bike rack with even 1 bike. Addidtionally, the owners manual says not to use one.

Clearly a roof mounted version is not an option either ;-)

Send a PM to Woodwork. He's the Honda factory rep (engineer) and he uses one. You can ask him which one he uses.

I've seen the universal type bike racks mounted on the trunk with 1 bike without a problem. Don't know that I'd do multiple bikes though. You've just gotta be careful not to damage the paint on the deck lid with the rack though.

Forget the trunk mounted nightmares.

Use a Thule brand bike carrier that goes in a trailer hitch.
The D'alan (sp?) Hitch is lightweight and can mount to the S without alot of extra weight or overhang.

Search for "Track + Trailer" and see what a bunch of S2K owners do for track days.

I'd go this way if you are serious about doing this and don't feel the need to risk damaging the car.

Good Luck,
Hockey

That's what I'm using.
The two things that were most important when I bought the S were:
1) the ability to get my race tires to events on weekends
2) the ability to carry my bike

I solved both of these problems with the D'lan hitch and receiver mounted bike rack. It works great, no problems and have carried the tire trailer and bike interchangably for the past two years without a single problem.
