Default Big guys in an s2k...?

I've been basically lusting after an s2k for a while....a few months ago I sat in one. I just though to myself... "no way, fcuk ".

Few days ago....I go to the dealership with my buddy to check out a lotus elise (and damn, those things are tiny). I fit in this thing with NO problems whatsoever. I mean, it's tight, but I could definitely drive the thing daily.

Now I'm not that big I guess....6'-6'1" and weigh in at 215lbs. If I remember correctly, my legs/knees didn't clear the bottom of the dash...

I'm just kind of scratching my head right now. Any of you my size have any trouble fitting into your s2k's? I've had people as tall as 6'3" tell me they fit without too much dificulty and people on the internet accuse me of being a "fat fcuk". IMO there's no other car to purchase in this class...all the other cars that can be bought with the cash just don't appeal to me so much or other cars that do are just too expensive.

I'm just kind of frustrated and...

im 6'3' and like 255 and fit fine.... although it does matter where your height is as well. I have long legs but my head is 1 or 2 inches over the factory roll hoops.

I'm 6' and 185 and fit fine, although I wouldn't want to be much bigger to drive this car daily.

I think I'm going to have to go to a dealer and thoroughly check one out rather then just cry about it here. an s2k is just like the perfect car for me...

Hey, I am exactly your size, although a lot of my height is in the torso. Legroom is acceptable. The only problem I encounter is the top of the windshield blocking my view of some stoplights. Removing the sun visors helps a bit in this regard. The S2000 is really the only small roadster I know of that can accomodate bigger folks.

I'm 6'2 and 235 -- the S2000 is probably the smallest car I'd drive. I've had bigger cars (like an M3) and I prefer the S2k

I'm 6', 220. I fit absolutely fine in my S2K. I also have the stoplight blocking problem, but that's easily avoidable.

My cousin is about 6'8, and I'd guess at 350 or thereabouts. He can't get one leg in without giving up. I have several other cousins in the 6'4, to 6'6 range, and although they can get in, they have problems with knees in dash.

As for the Elise - I drove one a few weeks ago. I think the biggest difference in the interior is the complete openness. I had a little struggle getting in (with the top on), but once inside, it was very 'roomy'. I think the lack of the transmission tunnel/bracing/center console like our car is why. I didn't feel like I was in a cockpit.

my salesperson was 6'6" and near 300 and he ended up buying an s2k. I can't imagine the comfort of that size in the passanger seat of an elise though
