and bmms8 do you really get it often? it never comes on when it rains, cept when i experimented that one day. i see my light come on more when it's dry than wet, mainly cause that's when i'm more aggressive i guess. and how cold is cold where you live? so far it's only been high 30s-40s here, and so far haven't had to many problems with traction
i do get it pretty often. but i am talking about heavy rain. the car is very disconnected to the road. i do get it on the road sometimes if its very cold out. i have rs3's and unless warm they do not grip well.

its been 30-40 here in arkansas. i have evo v12 tires and last night, i decided to go WOT to get on the freeway. i lost grip and my VSA was flashing, it eventually just dropped the rpms and i shifted into second. lol my S apparently doesnt like the cold. i have plenty of autox under my belt. one thing i have learned over the years. if you are going fast enough and you lose grip, not even VSA can save you. like most people have already said, just practice, take to a parking lot or to and event at the track or autox. dont practice on the street or in the mountains.

Mine slips because there is little read on the tires. Looking forward to new tires after the winte rhibernation, coming soon.

You would be correct.

Main thing besides practice is making sure you have good tires and a good alignment. If you're not careful, you may not recognize that the insides of your tires are worn down because the outside of your tires look fine.

Ive not read a whole lot f this thread so this may have been covered, but imo, the biggest factor is not panicking, no big wheel inputs, no big throttle changes, keep it smooth.

When sliding throttle input controls the angle of the car, but the front wheels always dictates where the car goes. If you put too much gas in, and start to oversteer, just keep the throttle steady, light countersteer, you'l find the wheel will naturally countersteer to a degree, you just making direction corrections, as the car increases in speed, the car will 'catch up' the rpm of the rear wheels and grip will slowly come back in.

Well shit that was a lecture
