Default Best time to buy

Well, in the next couple of months I'm interested in buying an S2000. I will have the financing + cash together after I receive my tax refund and sell my current car. That would probably put it in early-mid February. Where I live, we get quite a bit of snow. When is the best time of the year to buy an S2K? Should I wait till summer (like May), or get it asap? When are the prices the best?

From what I've seen the time is best right around now, these types of cars don't seem to sell very well in the winter.

The winter and towards the end of the month are the best time to get one. Bypass all of the salesman and contact the internet fleet manager. When you do this, they know you mean business and are educated on what a fair price for the car is. Good luck.

Try to grab one during winter. There's usually a Fall/Winter APR promotion and you've got some Dealer Cash if it's an outgoing model year. You couldn't beat that lease deal we had back in Oct. But the car is REEEAALLL Cold in the winter. Not many serious buyers are looking at a convertible in Winter. You get the occaisional "I'm buying this for my Husband for Christmas" Ladies once in a while but otherwise winter is when this car sits....

Looking into one also. What is a reasonable price to offer on an '05 right now?

If you can get it below the wholesale, I imagine you are doing really well.

Well I could only afford used, and I would like to get one for maybe around $15k. So dealer is probably out of the equation. I'd have to get one from a private party or ebay. How does this change the equation?
