Default Best springs on stock suspension or Koni Yellows..

I'm wanting to lower my car, but not waste money on just springs if I'm going to get shocks later on..

I've heard the Koni Yellows were great, so will stick with that...
Also, on the Koni Yellows, the KG/MM Race Springs were too stiff and the Sport springs were just right.

BUT, I've heard the Ground Control springs on the Koni's should be better.

Anyone know where to buy the Koni Yellows along with the GC Springs or KG/MM Springs??

Also, how would the Eibach's work with the Koni Yellows, I've heard Eibach pro kits have always been really good.

Sorry for all the questions! Thanks for any response.

I have the Koni's on KG/MM race. Its a little rough...but I like it rough . If I were doing it all over again I would get the GC's because they are adjustable.

btw, GC uses Eibach springs. And you can get whatever spring rates you want.

I ran the Pro-Kit/Koni combo for a while. Performed well.

I was reading all of the same threads as you and was pretty much set on getting Konis and KG/MM sports. HOWEVER....
I got a set of Espelir springs and threw them on my stock shocks and they are EXELENT. I highly recommend them and it will save you a grip of money!

I'm running H&R springs with oem shocks and enjoy both the ride and the moderate lowering.

The ride is a bit softer than stock. (softer meaning not as bouncy)

I have the tein s-tech springs and love them. Perfect ride and handling. With 17" wheels and these springs, it rides a little rougher than stock but handles 100% better.

Does anyone here have the koni's with stock springs? I was hoping to improve on the ride quality and handling with a conservative drop. I was thinking of going this route and using the lower perch.

Any thoughts? Or suggestions...

My other consideration was the Spoon springs which are conservative as well and are close to the factory springs rates.

Thanks for the help doods

Primo, Last month I replaced the aftermarket springs I had been running for the past year, going back to OE springs with Koni yellows on the lower perch. I'm glad I did. The 1/2" drop eliminates that excessive tire to fender opening gap, and with my 17" wheel/tire combo, the Koni's allow me to dial out the car's tendency toward oversteer while maintaining good ride quality. Lot's of guys in the Competition Forum will tell you that if you're not going to coilovers, the OE springs are as good as it gets for handling. I'm inclined to think that they're right. Highly recommend this combo.
