Default Best replacement for S02's? (searched)

I have searched and read more than I think is humanly possible.... but I still can't figure out which tires are a great alternative to the S02's, considering how expensive they are. I'm looking for something that will have just as good grip in dry/wet weather as the S02's. I don't like the S03's cuz they are not as good in dry as the S02's. I have stock rims. I have also read that if I go with a non-OEM tire, that I should get 245/45/16's on the back, but stick with 205/55/16's on the front.

Sooo... help me out?

You already know the answer. OEM SO-2 tires from Tirerack or a similar discount source. (Remeber not to use them below 40 deg F.)

I would stay with the S-02 if you want the just as good a grip in the dry. They are not really that expensive. BFGoodrich G-Force is also a good tire from what I've heard.

From what I hear the BFG G force are one of the best tires out. However they are more expensive than the S-02 i believe. They may be even grippier in dry weather than S-02's as well, I believe they use a softer almost a racing type of rubber.

I'll probably go with the Dunlop SP Sport 5000's next. Looks like a good, longer lasting replacement.

Kumho ECSTA 712
Yokohama ES 100
Toyo T1S
Bridgestone S02
Bridgestone S03
In ascending order of price. And yes you need a front 205/55/16 and rear 245/45/16 combo if your not using the stock S02's. Look here https://www.s2ki.com/forums/showthread.php?...&threadid=48572

So the kumhos and yokohamas (ecsta 712's and evs 1000's) will NOT grip as well in dry as the S02's?
