What was the point of posting this picture with the caption? Was it to try to make it appear that the 2004 bypassed the chicane in order to "win", when in fact the Pre-04 bypassed the chicane TWICE and still came in last? Great explanation of why the 2004 is improved and faster over previous years with the suspension and tire/wheel changes (we won't even start the discussion of 2.2L vs. 2.0L here). Yes the 2004 would have easily legitimately lost to the MCR S2K if it didn't "cheat" (amazing what some mods can do). But did you see the Pre-04 slide and drift around the track with its loosey goosey rear end? The 04 rear suspension changes were definitely an improvement both for quicker lap times AND improved control/safety.
BTW, thank you for posting the link:

It worked great for a great price, especially if you buy 2 BMI videos (free shipping).
I only saw that one race on the DVD late last night, but if you don't want to hear about the improvements starting in the 2004 model, then you'll want to avoid this DVD

J's Racing S2000 was an amazing car, to a degree. They call it an "F22C" although it is their own version. I wonder if it is based on the 2004 U.S. engine. Anyone know? Or did they just increase the stroke on the 2.0L engine. It wasn't amazing in that it did blow up, I think at least partially due to the fact that they raised the redline to 9000, which increases the piston speeds to the equivalent of 10000 RPM on the 2.0L engine. They should have kept its redline at 8400.
On the other hand, on the very first race in the video, the J's highly tuned and gutted machine accelerated just as well as the tuned NSX to achieve lap times at less than 61 seconds at Tsukuba. Pretty amazing. And it cornered better than the NSX's also. I wonder about the 2.2L's potential.
