Gears would be the best bang for the buck.

The S is not an easy car from which to extract horsepower unless you go turbo/supercharger. You'll be spending money to get 3 hp here, 5 hp there. Before you know it, you're out $2k and have a car that sounds better, but really doesn't go much faster.

Take a hundred here, 3 hundred there, and save up for a supercharger. Do it once, do it right.

High performance drivign lessons. More return on modding the driver, not the car.

supercharger, so i hear. The S is maxed from the factory, it is the highest output per liter engine in the world. Add FI.

Um no. The inline pro kit for 4k doesn't come w/ any form of engine management, and the list of "optional" equipment puts you well above the cost of a supercharger. Not to mention, tuning. Comptech and Vortech come w/ everything needed to run 300whp out of the box.

What kind of bang do you want? You're stepping into a 2900 lb rwd sports car with a high tune level, not an econobox that will benefit greatly from a few bolt ons. That in mind, you're already getting great performance and sub 6 second 0-60, so are you looking for more punch or improving on other areas?

Gears are def. the best mod for getting more grunt out of the car, and an intake is nice for sound at WOT more than anything. Outside the engine, the best mods are spending around $1k on a decent stereo system and probably a countersunk shift knob from Rick's or Muz for ~$50.
