Default Best All-Season Performance Tire

I have gotten differing opinions regarding safety, wear and track-worthiness. Most often recommended by sales people are Michelin Pilot A/S and Pirelli P Zero Nero. Any experience out there?

There's no such thing.

I guess Michelin Pilots would be the closest.

I bought a set of Michelin Pilot Sport A/S (not cheap tires BTW) to try out cause I heard they were good tires.

First impressions were good, gripped well in the rain and decent in dry weather but as soon as it started wearing, there was a huge loss of traction in the dry and rain weather and the tire had like a good 50 percent left.

Next set of tires are going to be strictly summer tires.

I've had the Goodyear F1 GSD3's on for a couple of months, and they have been great so far. Awsome in the rain!

Dunlop SPs, were okay... but was happy to get back into SO2s + Blizzaks.

All season tires are kind of like... well... using 87 octane and getting your timing pulled.

All season tires are a compromise.

EXACTLY!

"All season, performance tire" is an oxymoron.

which salesmen do you speak of? people working at tirerack that sells thousands of these or a used car salesman?

just buy s02's, if you must have all season mount them on a different car.

Nitto Neo Gens. They are bad ass in all conditions. Plus they resist camber wear. Best bang for your buck on the market, IMO.
