Agreed, but my point is that if you're going to spend the time anyway...
My observation is that S2k owners seems to spend a lot of time washing and waxing (Zaino-ing) regardless of car color. Example: I don't obsess over my Rover nearly as much (also black). In addition, there are some simple things you can do to help care for black:

1> keep it in the garage when not driving
2> Plenty of Zaino or wax when you do your full detailing (makes for easier touch ups)
3> Quick wash and some detailing spray work great for touch ups (<30 minutes)
4> Quick daily wipe down for pollen etc with microfiber clothes (<5 minutes)
5> Drive really fast so that dirt/pollen just blow off

Honestly, I love caring for my s2k - there's something satisfying about the experience. I know I'm sick...

At any rate, you can't lose with silver or black IMHO.

Great feedback! A Honda dealer in my area has both and I will get to see them side by side. I'm sure emotion is going to be the deciding factor...

I think the grass is always greener here.

I have a sebring silver, and it's completely low maintenance for keeping it clean. It got real dirty, but only I would have noticed.

Problem is that the same things that make a car "low maintenance" for washing and waxing also make it not as killer to look at when you do invest the time.

White and Sebring just don't pop as much after a coat of zaino.

Black and Red are pains to maintain, but look just soooo awesome when clean.

If I had to do it over again, I would have waited 9 months and gotten a 03 Silverstone. It's back it seems. I think that's the best compromise between easy to care for and awesome when you do.

Failing that, I would have gotten a red one.
