Benefit/Cost of new intake/exhaust?
I understand that with some cars, such as the C-5 Corvette, getting a cold-air intake, headers and exhaust can increase power and torque by 10% or more. Now, I could use an extra 20-25 ponies in my S, so I am wondering if such a thing is reasonably possible in the MY04 S2000. I am not interested in bling, don't care much about sexy sounds coming from the tailpipe (but don't want excessively loud sounds), but I sure could use the extra power on the track.
Does anybody have advice on a reasonably-priced aftermarket intake/exhaust (with headers) setup which would make a real significant difference? How much difference would it make, and what would the recommended setup cost be, more or less, assuming that I did the simple work and had a shop do the more complicated stuff.

The general consensus is that intake/exhaust mods do not offer large/significant power gains. Most do these mods for sound, weight, bling...
Thus the cost/benefit ratio if benefit=performance, is very low.

Yep, I'd suggest sticking with stock because you'll regret having spent and arm and a leg for some crap that only makes your car loud and annoying to drive.
I think that Honda pretty much went all the way to the limit of daily driver comfort in terms of NVH (noise, vibration, harshness). I wouldn't fool with it... but that's me and you sound like me.
