Man, you guys are killing me...ss22kk I am totally jealous! I would love to be buying/driving my S2k...but I am stuck over here in Korea for another year, so instead I am driving an old 1990 P.O.S. Daewoo with about 150,000 miles on it. Then again, it only cost me $300...
Got to test drive the 03 model when I was in Hawaii on leave a couple of weeks ago...holy shit, I was sold, then and there. I did not want to give that bad boy back. Great delership, too (Honda Windward) on Oahu, the salesman was very knowledgeable to all my questions, and when we took it for a test drive he encouraged me to open it up and drive it hard. I had been leaning toward an Acura TSX until I drove the S2K. Of course this means I am also "stuck" with the 04 model, for better or for worse. Although truthfully, I think we can all relax in that regard...seems we are overblowing the changes. Honda says they are "revising the suspension"; that doesn't mean it will ride like a 73 Eldorado! BTW, what is with the automatic trans now? I have not heard anything about that being added to the 04; is this just another rumour/over-reaction? God, I hope so...that would definitely be a bad sign if they really did that.
BTW, I am supposed to be re-assigned to Monterey (Defense Language Institute) when I leave Korea (Sep 04)...hence my interest in this thread to begin with. Can anyone recommend a good dealer in the area (or any to avoid, for that matter)? I am not familiar with that area at all (originally from Michigan)...
Thanks guys....hope to be joining your ranks as soon as possible. You will be the first to know...until that time I will remain green with envy.

Monterey is a couple hours away from where most of us are. You'll like it there... that is, if you are talking about Monterey, CA. There is an aquarium that is a great place to visit, and I'm sure you won't mind driving around to find good deals on your S. Also, if you check out the regional communities portion of this forum, you will see one for "Bay Area" owners. There's lots of local information contained there, as well. ^_^

Just wondering, but why not one that is a year used? I picked up my 01 silvserstone from a lady that was big enough to kick start a 747....she was miserable in the car. only 4500 miles, all OEM spoilers, NEVER vtec (she drove it like a civic) for 29000. I'm sure there are deals to had out there. It just seem a waster buying brand new, when they depreciate the second you drive them off the lot. Good lock with your purchase.

Thanks for advice Minako...I will check out the other forums you recommended. Yes, it's Monterey, CA I was referring to.
