I have the black / silver stock honda badges and am about
to remove the front badge[the back was easy]but it's attached by screws.does anyone know how to remove the
retainers on the screws? it's hard to get at.

open up the hood and reach beneath the emblem,
then just squeeze each of the 2 retainers and push up...

thanks TSW, but I'm getting bruised here....how do crimp
the metal retainers with your fingers,that are already in an awkward position.I appreciate your help-stew

I simply pushed mine out from behind. I'm referring to the front emblem, please don't take this out of context. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

stew, just pinch with 1 hand and push with another hand on 1 of the retainers, and then do the same on other retainer...
if you "flossed" the front emblem correctly, it should just pop up. make sure you "flossed" the emblem entirely so that there are no adhesive holding the emblem to the bumper.
