Hey a guy at my work said that he was reading auto week a while back and they said S2000 has a bad transmission in it and needs work after 15 thousand miles. Have you heard of this or experienced any problems?
I believe this was almost a year after the 2000 models came out.

I've got 14,000 miles with no transmission problems.

Speaking of grind, I noticed a first - second grind yesterday. If I do have a problem, would it happen all the time or just randomly? It was the first time and I may have done something wrong.

Are the repairs being covered under warranty or is the supercharger being blamed?

Edit:
Nevermind, I just read your post in another topic

27k miles here with not one problem. Not even a first to second gear grind, knock on wood!

I'm having transmission problems. While cruising 40 - 45 MPH in 4th gear the shifter just pops right out of gear. My car is 2 months old and has only 1,500 miles.

25k miles to date.

Fixed at 12k
Leaky tranny seal.
1-2 Grind fix. (TSB-055)

To be fixed next week at ~26k
Noisy Clutch. (TSB-054)

I push it hard and it gets fixed under warranty.
