Default is it bad driving car only once a week?

my s2k is my weekend car and i only drive it on sunny days. i only drive it about once a week. is this bad for the car? just like how some people store it but starting it up once a week kinda like multiple dry starts instead of one dry start in the spring. thanks.

The car could care less. In fact mine sits for 4+ months a year and doesn't seem to care.

I rarely drive my S these days. It just sits in the garage forever.

It's fine for the car, but I'd be sure to allow the engine to heat up fully each time it's started.

I drive mine 1-3 times a week normally. Use full synthetic motor oil. It tends to flow better at low temps for quicker cold start lubrication. In addition I have heard that synthetic "clings" to engine parts better as the car sits...not sure how much truth their is to that but my car runs Mobil One and after sitting for a week or 3 weeks it starts up smooth and idles smooth right off the bat!

side thought: For cars that sit for long times it would be cool if you could manually pump oil over the valve train prior to starting the car. maybe just a small auxillary electric motor that sucks oil out of the sump? I might be on to something here.

it's fine, just don't drive it hard until its warmed up each time. however, if your car is practically new i would try to drive it more often to get it out of the break in stage and get through the first couple oil changes sooner than later.
