1st off take your wallet out of your back pocket if thats where you keep it. i noticed this would cause me backaches after extended drives. 2nd, have you ever tried acupuncture? i injured my back playing ball a few months ago, the pain was to the point i couldn't even put my own socks on. it progressively worsened until i went to an acupuncturist and was literally walking out of the place in astonishment. i was extremely skeptical but now i'm definitely a believer in acupuncture. the thing about acupuncture though, it can alleviate the pain but physical therapy might be needed to strengthen your back so you don't re-injure yourself.

I really like the S2000 seat and I feel like that's the only time I'm really sitting up properly. I wish I could put one on wheels and use it as my desk chair.

I was actually really worried about my back but for some reason S2000 seats don't hurt my back...... my '02 RX300 and '97 Maxima GLE seats did for some reason (supposedly luxury cars).

I'm very fortunate. I've made many 6-8 hour trips in this car with no back issues. Some of these drives were after spending all day on the pavement after an autocross.

Wallet in the back pocket is a big nono for your back. Also either YOU splurge on a Herman Miller Aeron chair, or threaten your company to get you one(workers comp.... heheh probably wouldn't work though), but I sit in this chair for 9-10 hours a day and almost no back fatigue. Its so comfortable and supportive. But then again, it does cost a G.

And get a small hand towel and put it behind the front portion of the lower back piece of the S2K seat. If you are looking at your seat, the middle portion is actually not attached the to seat. You can pull it forward a bit and stuff a towel in there. I've done this and it works WONDERS for good cheap lumbar support. My back used to ACHE without doing this. Haven't thought about it since. You can also adjust it to whatever firmness you want.(Put a bigger towel, smaller, memory foam, etc...)

Add an inflatable lumbar support to your seat. Had them in my Miata and now in the S2000. Takes Five minutes to install. Go to Miatamania.com and search "lumbar". I just checked and they are still stocking the product I am referencing.

You can search in this forum and you can find several types of inflatable lumbar support. I got a couple Chiroflow Adjustable Lumbar Supports, one Chiroflow is behind the main seatback panel and nobody can tell it's there.

I also do not carry my wallet in the back pocket either, my wallet is very thin and it is in the front pocket.

Are you sitting in the S properly? Try moving the backrest to a more vertical position and see if that helps. The S seat has good lumbar support imo, but you have to sit in the seat properly to use it - tuck yourself into the corner the seat makes and make sure your upper back is contacting the seat when you're driving - not floating an inch off of it - that's a sign you're not seated properly.

Not a wallet in your back pocket, but a big brick full of crap you don't need in a wallet in your back pocket - it shouldn't be 2 inches thick.
