Greg,

Welcome home, so you only ended up buying gloves, I would have expected you would have bought all sorts of Mods at the tuning shops. Great coverage of the trip, sure wish I could have stayed for the rest of the trip.

Can't wait to see the pics and video. My jet lag's gone just in time to head across the ocean again!

Hey Richard (Mingster). We asked both of the Honda groups about the possibility of a glass rear window but nobody would answer. From what Pinky says it will be available on the 02's.

Greg,

Great report. I'm glad you had such a great time. You've made many of us jealous I'm afraid . Looking forward to more info after you get adjusted to the States again.

Did you ask the engineers if they had a solution for the 1st to 2nd gear grinding some of us are still getting even though we went in for the service bulletin already?

I know Luis bought oil temp, oil pressure and water temp gauges, along with the necessary hardware to get it working. Gregg got the Mugen radiator cap and thermostat. Others got some cosmetic changes. I didn't get anything myself, but I'm not mighty interested in a J's Racing wing, MPF exhaust, Cusco rollbar, some sort of Sparco/Recaro racing seat, and gauges like Luis's.

We made a sizeable dent on Honda memoribilia, too. Possibly there'll be a small shortage of Twin Ring Motegi umbrellas for the next few days...

In the meantime, I woke up in Japan about 28 hours ago and was only able to catch a few winks of sleep on the planes. I'm quite overwhelmed, and will try to add my impressions when my brain has had a chance to recover.

Does the key come apart at all? There is always a way to make it work, the question is, how complicated is it?

That is a SWEET key.

Thanks for the information. I'm glad that you guys had blasting experience. I wish I could've..

I have a question on VGS. How did you feel? Did you think it was better than what we have? I know there was a post on normal vs. VGS and VGS was actually slower than normal...

Cool key. $52 is ouch!! but I think it worth getting it.

cheers,
