very nice!
but, man this gets confusing...
i was about to put gt-3s on my car with so3s, but now read that the so3s are not as sticky as so2s. i am very used to the so2s and dont want to give up the sticky!
also thought that the gt-3s would fit with no problem (maybe the ones above are wider than the tirerack suggested ones?)

I don't think you have to worry if you are at stock ride height. Lowered is another matter

Overall grip with S03s in plus sizes should be fine. You will notice the extra weight of the wheel/tire combo more than absolute grip limits.

thx lig-
several have posted that they have gt-3s running on so3s and lowered by eibachs (1" drop). this was my plan...
yours looks lowered- did you go more than 1"?

woops- just noticed that you lowered yours 1.25"...
wonder if that .25" really makes a diff?

Could be the 265 vs. 255 tires... I doubt that .25 would make that much difference. I also have a pretty aggressive alignment -2.4 degrees of camber in the rear...

Y'all are smart so don't start being silly when it comes down to buying rims.

Know what you are getting into and if you're OK with the conditions, then go for it.

Don't rely on a large company to tell you what fits and what does not fit on your "high offset pls" S car. And wanabe, I think I've shared with you (and others) that all the 18" rims this one vendor sells do not fit the S2000 (I won't blurt it out this time since they do $$$ the board).

My expectations for rim fitment is that the aftermarket rims should fit like the stock ones in the sense that lowered or not you don't rub; additionally, you should be able to run the "right" sized tires on them.

GT3s are what... 9.5" wide with 55+ in the rear... dude... that's going to rub. Who cares if it visually looks like it doesn't stick out past the fender. It needs more offset. We're talking ~65+ here. But then that makes that nice lip shrink more so what lig's doing is he's rollin' da fenders in order to make room for the bling.

It's really simple, wanabe. Don't go blindly spending thousands of $$$ because a sales guy told you it's all good. Be prepared to do some neat trix to your car to get your GT3 thirst quenched proper. Your car's driving characteristics will be noticeably impacted. Whether all that is worth it is ultimately up to you.

Quit playin' around and get yourself some HREs, sir.

Good luck,

yup- those who i have checked with are running 255s.
if yours are 265, that must be what "the rub" is!
