Honda S2000
The Immortal Ones
Car Board
AutoWeek Magazine
March 25, 2002
P. 10.
Price: $32,740
Engine: 2.0-liter, I4, 240 hp, 153 lb-ft
Curb Weight: 2809 lbs
Drivetrain: rwd, six-speed manual
"Some around here call the S2000 the best Honda ever. Whether you agree or not, most at least believe the little roadster has already carved out a chapter for itself in the annals of future classic car-dom. And it's done that in less than three years on the market.
How much longer Honda churns out these gems we can't say; how much longer doesn't really matter.
What matters is that so long as there are S2000s to fling like go-karts through city parks and down mountain roads, so long as that sweet little 2.0-liter keeps spinning out a mind-boggling naturally aspirated 120 horsepower per liter, or so long as you can lie back, close your eyes and feel the snick-snick of the billet shifter in your grip, then the S2000--because it existed at all--is legendary already."

It's SO much performance and style for the money!!!! When youy step back and look at your car, it's lines are beautiful and the ability for a 2 litre to pull like this is NUTS!!!! I've had my car about a month and today, redlined it in 1st and 2nd and when I backed off, I just looked at my passenger and we both agreed that a 2 litre pulling appx. 2,800 lbs around like this is just unbelievable - without something to boos it (supercharger, turbo, nos, etc.).
I LOVE my car!!!!

Bruce

People everywhere need to step up and take notice. For Honda to build a car with the 4cyl engine thats not supercharged or torbocharged that stock can hang with V8's is definitely a force to be reckoned with. VTEC The Only Way To Fly!
