Autocross or Solo as we know it is also known as autoslalom and autosolo around the world (thanks, Wiki )

You probably figured it out by now, but another thing about our yankee autocross that's unique from other motorsports (other than maybe rallycross and gymkhana) is if you knock a cone down you get a time penalty, usually enough to make your run worthless if running a major event. The top drivers consistently run over the base of the cone without knocking it over.

Cool fact: with well over 1,000 entries, the SCCA National Championships is the largest motorsports competition in the world. Who says we only turn left?

Winners are also determined via PAX factors for each class. Pretty much like a handicap in golf.
