Auto leveling HIDs on the way?
I love the HID headlamps on the S, but with any elevation changes in the road they can either irritate oncoming traffic or drastically reduce the field of illumination. Reading about the EVO wagon project over coffee, this line caught my eye:
Could this mean that we have a JDM option available in our future, or have I been so far out of it that it has been added to the 06 without noticing? I, for one, would be all over this if it comes our way.
Headlamps also were a problem.
The existing Evo and Lancer used high-intensity discharge lamps. A new Japanese law, however, required that any cars built after Jan. 1, 2006, with those lamps had to include headlamp auto-leveling technology.

Two things:
1) Auto leveling is not instantaneous. It does not react fast enough to avoid "flickering" when you go over bumps on the road. It only helps if you put a heavy load in the trunk, for example.
2) Auto leveling lights for the S2000 has been available in Europe (and possibly other parts of the world also) since day one.

They have one on is300, the only thing they do is give you check light/warning light when you lower your car.
it's a simple sensor with two swing arms, one set in the Driver front and one for the driver rear

The Aussie's have self leveling headlights standard, but no cruise control. Go figure.
Some Euro cars where sold without Air conditioning. It just depends on what Honda decides the market gets.
