Default Auto-dim Rearview Mirror (w/ compass & Homelink)

anybody did this? it's the part from 350z and you can get it from http://www.courtesyparts.com/Merchant2/mer...Code=350Z-RVMIR

i know a lot of people wants this kind of options for their s2k. I though since it has all of them in it, it would be clean and nice.

i'm posting this because after I get my s2k, I would like to know how to install or is it even possible.

I bought some visors off eBay (from a Chrysler) that had the Homelink, and I cut them out, installed them in my visor and had an upholstery shop re-cover them with vinyl.
Install was a 2 wire very easy job!

If you do this, just make sure that you get the type of Homelink that fits inside the visor. There seems to be a larger and a smaller version. You'll want the smaller type.

Dude, Major H, you are just smart. How about selling them too? I already enjoy your lexan inserts!

Yeah, that would be a great option to add to the S if it's possible. I think it depends on how the existing mirror connects to the windshield. That, plus you'll have to have an exposed wire to tap into the light running up the window.

If you really want Homelink, do it yourself!
It's not that difficult!
And, a lot less expensive.

This is exactly the type of Homelink I used for my S2000.
Except mine is black!
