Default Arrrh! Someody stole my S2000!!!!!!!!!!!!

My Blue S2000 had been stolen from a gated parking garage.
Although I had a steering wheel lock(club) somebody still drive my car away. I don't know how they get through the card controlled gate that needs a computer card and a car presence in order to open the gate to get away.

Police took record and I am waiting for the insurance.

So mad and depress. I had put so much time to maintain and modify my S2000. I am making a carbonfibre air intake guide to replace the factory one as I had the spoon CAI installed. I don't even had the chance to install it!

Anybody think I should buy a used S2000 again with the insurance or I am thinking something like a caterham super7 superlight version but that is too impractical(not much weather protection and space), old NSX, TL-type-S or a 911 RS?

Help!!!!!!! Arrrrrrrrh!!!1

hate to say this but your car's probably in China by now driven by some freakin' triad gangster

my dad told me stories about how you can walk around in Sheng Zen and people would ask you "what kind of car do you want?" you tell them, and they get it for you - at a price of course.

Sorry to hear about that tough luck. Seems like if a car thief is determined, there's no way to stop them.

I hope you have receipts for all those mods. I wonder if you'd have any luck insisting that they replace your car with one having equivalent equipment? At least they should add the cost of your mods to their offer.

I had my first s2k totalled and the insurance gave me enough to almost pay for a new 2001. Fortunately, I hadn't installed any of my mods in the first car. But I still would have gotten another S2k, I love the car. After you recover from the shock, you may decide you can't live without that vtecing.

Good luck whatever your decision.

Pray that the car isn't recovered!!! More than likely it won't be. My brother -in-law had his car recovered after a two weeks---the car was F****up I always thought if mine ever got stolen, I hope its gone for good. Sorry to hear about that, I would get another one. But if you hear alot of cars being stolen, I wouldn't modify it w/out asking your insurance about being reimbursed! Good luck!

Now that I thought about where you keep your car , it sounds like this was an inside job---I'll bet there is a chop shop right around your area--unless they'll strip the VIN and ship out! This just sounds like some one had easy access w/ the key card and no one seeing the car leave the area!

wileecoyote,

That SO sucks! I'm sorry to hear that.
The S2 is such a great car and all the time, money and effort you put in.

You should get whatever car you want.
You know what our S2000's can do. Best of luck.

Thanks for your support.
I thought it was an insider theft, too.
May be the car wash guy team up with the parking garage guy.
But I have no evidence. Hope the police will find out something.

Mingster, I think you are right on the target. There is no way that they will drive my car in HK or chop my parts for sale in HK. There are not too many S2000 in HK. I can find out easily if somebody's S2000 had my unique parts or my S2000 is on the road running around. From what I know there are only 3 Blue S2000 in HK.

Rwirsing371,
Damn, your user name is so long and hard to remember.
Thanks for your comment and I 100% agree with what you said.
I hope they never found my car. I would not want to get back a parts car or a crashed S2000.

If the insurance pay the highest amount according to the terms. I will have enough money to buy a 99 or 00 used S2000 with the same milage as my car without all the mods that I got.

The problem is after driven a S2000, modifled or not. You will not able to find a better car even twice the list price of our S2000 that will give you the same driving enjoyment with the fastest soft top in the whole world, the style, the vtech scream with the J's N-1 exhaust, the flick of a wrist will get you from 1st to sixth gear...............

I am so pissed off that they even took my fluffy white bunny toy that I put on the dash. See the photos on the photo gallery in the thread ' my blue S2000'.

It is so lucky that we do not have guns in HK like when I was in LA. Or I would be so mad that getting my Colt phyton 357, Glock, M-11 and all other firepower that I got to fire all the ammos in the nearest shooting range.

Sorry to hear that!

It's definitely an inside job... They probably had someone open the gate, drove a flat-bed tow trunk in there and just towed the car out of there. Done in 2 minutes! The police could be in on it, too.
