ARC Induction Box
Sorry would have searched otherwise. I found This intake while looking around for a comptech icebox and am rather confused, I am intersted in knowing what kind of intake this might be. Main question being improvement over stock air box as well as what improvement this may be over the comptech air intake. Any responses would be greatly apprieciated. I have had the car for about a month so a lot of these things are a learning experience.

This intake does look good, but you will lose power because of the hot air. You are not going to gain much with any intake so some people go for the bling. Also heard that this sounds pretty aggressive but I have not heard one.

I had one of these. Just FYI, the peice in the site is only half of the whole intake. You can run with just that but there is another resonator chamber that costs about as much. You're looking at close to $700 for the complete intake.
Here's a pic of my old setup:
It does sound very nice and it flows a lot of air. There are two filter elements on it. One on the side and one on the top. It doesn't run as hot as most people would think but it's not a CAI by any means. It's definitely a show only peice. If you're interested in more show than go, then get it. I was happy with it when I had it. I prefer the Injen I have now though. Less money, more noise, and no heat bog.
