So you're saying that it is normal for the CR car to have gaps different from a normal AP2 with the CR suspension as a mod? How can that be within spec?
I'm asking because I am incredibly tempted to swap my OEM suspension for CR suspension, but the front in the air thing is putting a big damper on my enthusiasm.
I need to call Hardtopguy. He sells this setup and has always been technically knowledgable on other topics.

I cannot remember what the numbers were -- I think they were something like +1/4" in the front, and -1/8" to unchanged on the back. I had a 2004 AP2 stock suspension setup with ~10,000 km on the odometer before the CR swap, in case you want to know the "age" of my previous parts.
I have a non-technical theory about this, but this doesn't explain why the back could sit lower:
Both the CR and base model coilovers were the same height with the same amount of travel (if you put them side by side to compare). With the same car weight, but higher damping and spring rates, the coilovers simply would compress less. This is particularly noticeable in the front because the spring rates were 50%+ higher (i.e. ~7 vs 4.5kg/mm). I'm suspecting the age of previous coilovers also play a role? Not sure ...

Yes, the front will end up higher, and the rear will end up lower (or about the same). At least that's what happened to mine.

[QUOTE=jmorale1,Jul 26 2008, 11:50 PM] Seems like I will be doing this sometime but could you please show a pic of your car just to get a better understanding of how much it raises the front...please?

I'm curious if anybody has tried the Type-S suspension, my understanding is the Type-S suspension is an improvement over stock '08 models but not as stiff as a CR due to the Type-S having a soft-top.

Think I paid 1.3K for CR parts? And something like 1.8 for KWs. I could be completely off ...
Hartopguy.com would have CR parts prices. KWs ... they are readily available on a few websites I found on Google

I would imagine it's very difficult to get a hold of the TypeS coilovers though, given that it's only available in Japan. Even for me to get a hold of the TypeS wing (which is the same as the CR wing) was a pain already ...

[QUOTE=Ks320,Jul 27 2008, 01:21 PM] That's what I heard too, but then TypeSs are only in Japan and there aren't that much literature on the car for most people to know what's going on there.
