AP2 LED Fog lights

Thanks for the compliments !. My car was a US import, and driving in Canada without DRL's is risking your life as you become invisible among every car that has drl's. I hooked up the custom led setup to be my drl's.

the problem with the ebay pictures are they are photoshopped. they don't actually have any of the lights turned on in any of the photos. They ARE NOT blue LEDs. The LEDs are white with a slight blue tint to them. Kinda like 6000K HIDs. So dont let that foul you. I like them. Ill be posting pics soon with the light smoke tint

they look good, nice fitment on the ap2. Nice find IMO. I didnt vote because I have an ap1.
I had luck running some leds on the slats of my bumper. It's a custom job though, no an entire plug and play kit. Mine is an ap1, lights are secured very well on the slats. But for an ap2 your set looks like a great fit. Mine are 1watt leds, with 5 lights per fixture, very bright and very white colour.

Figured I'd toss of my set-up for good measure... (looks like I got to do some tweaks to the bumper still :\ )... Same kind of think from JFusion... He needs to do DRLs because they are required in Canada I did it because a little grey car seems to be missed all to often by other drivers.... I can't tell you how many times I have been pulled out in front of.

that's exactly the reason why I did it, somehow my car passed inspection without needing drls, but I was finding that people were pulling out in front of me and cutting me off all the time. A small car like the s2k in sebring silver just doesn't get noticed on the road, and when 99% of all cars around you have drls running 24/7 nobody sees you. It was just a matter of time before someone flattened me. I feel much safer with these on the car now.
I like yours as well, they look similar to J's Racing, nice colour on them.

My setup is a custom install, I bought a drl kit but wired it up for the s2k and I put them on a switch so I can turn them on or off as needed. The S2k needs alot of wiring as the nose is so long. It takes about 4 feet to span the width of the bumper, then about 7 feet to reach into the cabin, so about 11-12 feet is safe. The kit I bought gave you about 6 feet of wiring so I spliced in some added length. My led's are actual light housings, not strips. I did buy some strips at first but I was worried about them getting hit by stones and bugs. If anyone wants strips I've got a couple that I can sell for cheap, or you can buy the strips from any led light vendor.
I installed the housings on the slats of the front bumper, wrapped the wiring in plastic sheathing and zip tied it onto the bumper. I ran the second length of wiring through the driver side fender into the engine bay and into the cabin through a rubber grommet that is just under the master cylinder, it pops out near the clutch pedal inside the underdash area. I put in a switch on the dashboard and ran the wiring into the switch. I picked up power in the underdash fuse box, there are three spare connections there, one is 12v 24/7, one is 12v with ignition on, and one is ground. I connected it to the 12v ignition source, and there are lots of grounds around there to be used. You only need one power and one ground for the entire kit. The lights come on with ignition and with the switch on, when I go to use my HID's at night I can turn off the drl's manually. The entire kit only uses 10 watts of power, each housing has 5 1-watt diodes in them. The underdash spare connectors are fused from the factory, but the kit comes with fuses as well. I used weatherproof butt connnectors to join the two sections of wiring and covered everything in plastic wire sheathing and electrical tape. If I ever want to remove the bumper far off the vehicle I can separate the wiring at the butt connector joints. It is pretty simple in design, it just takes a bit of time to install and run wiring, removing and reinstalling the bumper etc...
I bought the light kit from this place in Toronto Canada, but any light vendor will sell something similar and there are many different sizes. There are many vendors in the US that will sell something like this. My vendor had a smaller sized kit if you like smaller housings. I got the $99 kit, the $39 kit looks just as good and is a bit thinner in size. This is the vendor that I used as they are close to me and I got fast shippping:

There is a light vendor here on s2ki that sells similar kits in the US, you could probably find hundreds of kits on ebay. My canadian vendor is affiliated with a us vendor, but ther are many suppliers out there.
Here is a pic of my dashboard switch installed under the cruise control switch, I had a custom drl decal made for me by evils2k who is a vendor from s2kca.com . I bought the switch separately as the kit did not have a switch and I wanted to operate them manually if needed.
Wiring installed on the bumper as posted in a previous reply on here, covered in wire sheathing, zip tied , taped, housings attached to slats with supplied clips and screws - very secure and weathertight.
I might be able to snap a pic of the wiring that goes through the engine bay, this is the best I can come up with for a diy at this time. I wish I had taken more pics during the install, but I never thought of doing it at the time. Hope this helps.
