Default AP2 airbag to AP1 steering wheel conversion

I hate the AP1 airbag. Its ugly, tacky, and generally ruins the overall interior presence of the AP1 interior.

So, I want to put in the AP2 airbag instead.

Can this be done?

I have a feeling it cannot be done, but I can't remember? Something about having 2 switches on the AP2, but only 1 on the AP1?

hmm I wasn't aware of anything that changed. I looked on majestic's honda website, it does have different part numbers. However I would attribute that to the different covers on all of them. In the images it only shows one plug, and that is a yellow SRS plug. Otherwise I don't think anything has changed. However anyone can feel free to correct me if I am wrong.

I believe the only difference is the appearance of the airbag, and should be a direct bolt on.

This is something that I've wanted to do for a while, but I think the airbag is like $400 new and that's crazy. But I've heard that this can be done quite easily.

I know the steeering wheels are the same and swap wothout issue. However I understand (don't know for sure) that the SRS reel is differant and would need to be replaced too.

Might be easier to just replace a whole AP2 steering wheel swap then?

^I think he is also refering to the SRS reel as well. I don't actually know if that is different or not, I suppose you could check model numbers to. The wheel isnt to expensive and the airbag isn't to bad alone. However all of that combined with the SRS reel possibly is kinda steep.
