Default AP1 OEM Lip Installation

The steps on this are easy enough but the underside of my bumper is somewhat warped due to scrapes etc. I can't get the bolt to align correctly and was wondering what alternatives I have?

Thanks.

same thing happened to me, but it was completely misaligned, not just warped.

all i can say is that you basically have to force the undertray into place until you can get the bolts in. either that, or take off the undertray and buy a new one. it should be cheap.

LOL... God I remember...P.I.T.A.

Keep working on it, you'll get it. It may help to go to your local parts store and buy longer bolts... easier to align.

You guys think crewing on the sides by the wheel and putting on a buttload of double sided tape will suffice?

mine went in perfectly, are you having issues with the 3 center bolts or the four on the sides? If it's the four on the sides, you have a lot of wiggle room for those metal clips.

I'm having trouble with the four bolts underneath that go into the clip nuts you attach to tehe bumper. Thing's just aren't aligning to well.

I'd loosen the three center bolts so the lip has some wiggle room and use a thin screwdriver to wiggle around the little metal brackets and loosely put in the four bolts one by one, there should be enough play in the lip for each one to go in. Did you raise the car? I raised mine quite a bit go give me more room as well as taking off the front two wheels in order to put in the set screws.

Naw I didn't raise it. What's worse, the car's lowered about 1.4" =D.

Oh well, I'll take alook at i over the weekend see how it goes.

Also, I'm having trouble screwing the screw clear through the bumper (the four sitting right by the wheels.

Don't double side tape it, PLEASE!!

My airwalked lip was like that when I got it. It was all saggy and didn't even LOOK right. On top of that, water got into it and screwed up my paint on the front bumper. I ran into a curb (forgot I was in a low ass car [lowered about 2"], usually I drive an SUV, and just pulled right on in and then here a ccrraacckkk and then "F%$@" out of my mouth ) So take the time and mess with the bolts, it's worth it.
