Default Ap1 harness work no a Ap2 motor + other questions

I just got my F22 Today! The harness was chopped sadly.. Can I use a Ap1 harness and then connect a Ap2 ECU to it? has anyone ever ran a AP1 ECU on a Ap2 motor, I am sure it is dumb.. but I was just curious about that. Also if I get a Ap2 ECU do i bring it to Honda to have it work with my key?

Yes. The harness engine is the same for 00-05 and so is the ECU connectors.

If you want the AP2 ECU to work, you will need the VIN of the car the ECU came from. Drive to Honda using your AP1 ECU with all of your S2000 keys in hand. Swap the AP2 ECU into the car, and have them program your keys into the ECU.

That is up to you. There are a few that have successfully run the F22C motor on the AP1 ECU. the A/F ratio get really rich over 8K and start to lose power. See if the dealer will swap the ECU for you and what they will charge. Some will not even do it, while others will.

Ahh. yeah Well I wouldn't need to go above 8K I think the Ap2 motor Rev limit from Honda is 8250 RPMS or something like that. I bet the Ap1 ECU would let it go to 9K sadly..

What else are you needing to know? It looks like Stratocaster pretty much covered everything.

I still want to know if the Ap2 with stock internal can be rev'd to the 9K and who has done it etc... I will most likely buy a Ap2 ECU or trade for one.. But also what about if I get a new ECU does Honda have to flash it to my key?
