That's all well and good but how often can you really drive the S2000 aggressively? Here in CA you have to find a nice, big street that's empty and cop-free to really enjoy it, or go to the mountains/hidden roads.

I personally can't imagine trying to drive the shit out of my S2000 in the city because A. you're going to get yourself or someone else hurt by driving too fast and B. you're going to attract a lot of police attention. I don't see what's wrong with driving conservatively when you're in tight quarters/crowded streets, it's not like you really have much choice.

I really only open her up on the freeway, mountains, big roads that're relatively clear, and at night in familiar areas; basically, anywhere that it's safe and where I'm not risking the lives of innocents. But I guess if you enjoy getting pulled over, speeding tickets, and endangering others you're probably not too worried about the gas mileage.

I've gotten as high as 32.6 on long interstate trips going 70+ mph, and as low as 23. I don't live in a city, so I'm rarely in stop-and-go traffic.

Modern cars' A/C compressor doesn't use up a lot of gas on low settings. So as long as you're not blasting it, it should have a smaller effect on gas mileage than having the windows down.
I thought when the AC was on regardless of what setting you have it on it takes the same amount of fuel consumption. I thought the only thing working harder was the fan blower.

Is this not true?

nope, load on the motor increases as the compressor now has load. It's driven by a belt off the crank.
