AP1 and AP2 Tranny and Diff question
Are the AP1 and AP2 tranny and rear diff a direct swap? Or does the drive shaft and drive axels need to be swapped over too? Is it a simple unbolt, swap, and bolt on or is there more too it? I did a search but didn't come up with much. Any input is appreciated. Thanks

if you have an AP1 and want an AP2 diff and tranny. You should install an AP2 propeller shaft. That will make it plug and play. If you don't, you will have to swap the output flange from the trannys and input flange from the diffs.
I have an AP2 diff and AP2 tranny in my AP1. I had an AP1 prop shaft but when I swapped in the diff, I added the prop shaft at the same time.

OK, dumb newbie question (I've only had my S2K a month). I presume AP1 and AP2 are body or chassis codes - could someone point me to info on these? What years/months did they cover? Also looking for more info on clutches, transmissions & differentials. Trying to get some familiarity with history of S2000 components. About all I've found so far is that F20c was <= 2003 and F22C >= 2004.
