I think the 01 is just fine. The glass window was a nice touch, but not something I would trade a new car for.

IMO this car is all about performance. It is an awesome machine; and as such, all model years (00-02) are identical.

Now if 03 brings some more ponies ...

I am in the market right now and test drove both a tt and a s2000, and I can honestly say
that even though the tt has for amenities, there is nothing like the thrill i got downshifting
and cornering at high revs with the s2000

No, i waited on a list for 8 months for mine (dropped a check off in the summer of 99) now I've had mine for almost 2 years now. yes, i could have enjoyed the refinements of a 2002 but I wouldn't have enjoyed the year and a half of what I had waiting for it. Oh and I did pay MSRP.

What i DO wish is that my car had a build date 2 months later and didn't need a hardtop kit or seatbelt recall (still not done).

L300, here are a couple interior and exterior shots of a seven day old spa 02. i think the surface of the console (fake leather) and the shift knob have changed, but not much else in the interior. i wish i had bought one when i first got the urge 18 months ago. i'm loving this car big time!

ps - just ordered a hardtop, some tabs for the license plate holes and a valentine 1.

No. And, if any of the improvements are important to you -- if you want to spend some money you can have any of three you mentioned added to your car.

Answer: NO!

I picked up my brand new 01 in December 01 and i dont regret it a single bit.....I love the Silverstone on Red combination and IMHO is the BEST color combination offered. It's now unavailable for '02....so im VERY HAPPY!

I totally agree. I like the Silverstone/Red combintion the best too. The Silverstone has a deeper richer look than Satin Silver to me. It's like Pearl White is when compared to Taffeta White on Acura CL/TLs and Accords. The Pearl White is deeper, richer looking. But the White paint you have to pay a premium for the pearl ...we dont for the same effect.

NO. I like having the original MY2000 Honda 50th anniversary car. Besides, it was great to be driving a car around that people had never seen before. I gota lot of looks and stares when I first picked up the car in 9/99.

I wouldn't trade my 2000 2 1/2 year old silverstone for an 02. First of all I like my color better than the 02 silver, secondly I have had 2 1/2 years of pure driving bliss. I have Ricks leather console cover, an upgraded sound system and my rear window is clear as a bell. I got one of the first ones in my state and I plan to keep it for a long time. I have had a lot of fun with doing some minor mods and like one comment says the next model year will probably have some changes over the 02. Reminds me of some of my bicycling buddies. Gotta have the latest and greatest cycling equipment and I can still kick their a$$ any day of the week.
