Anyone wish they waited for an 02'
Does anyone wish they waited to buy an 02'? I got my 01' S2k back in November. Got it for 1200 bucks under sticker. Drove it for a month and a half and then stored it for the winter. I know the car is essentially the same. However, I keep on hearing improvements with Transmission, rear window and stereo. Any thoughts? I am starting to get jealous

Don't look back; the 2003 will be "improved" over the 2002, etc. etc. etc.
However, the intrinsic "greatness" of the S2000 was there in the first one to roll off the production line.

Heck no!!!!!! I now have almost one year with mine and it still looks like new. I'd have to experience the transmission change, but I don't see how it could be much better than what I've got. I could care less about the glass rear window (more weight) and plastic has a classic look to it.

The changes of MY2002 over MY2000 cannot make up for all the fun I have had driving my car since 9/1999, the meets and events I have been able to attend with the car, and how I have modified the car to suit my interests.
Perhaps given your situation, bloomac, I might be feeling the same as you, since you have not driven your car much.

02' has some nice things but not that much different from '00 and '01.
the fun is still the same
all I want is the Monte Carlo blue that hopefully will be here in US in the not so far future.
If that colour come I will got a new S2000

I really like the glass window and the tweeters in the doors, but I don't know about the silver accents in the interior or the trim rings around the tail lights. I also prefer the Silverstone over the new lighter silver, so I don't have too much regret. I'm happy.

You can't be thinking like that. If you had waited for a '02 then what about when the '03 comes out with even more improvement? Just buy the car you want at the time, get a good deal and don't think about the new model until you'ready to buy a new car again. Unless money is no object, then you can just trade it in for a new one every year
