Default Anyone using the CR round shift knob?

Can any CR owners (or anyone using the CR knob) comment on how comfy the shift knob is? My 2005's knob is kinda beat up from the previous owner so I'd like to try something new.

I've never owned a spherical knob before and wanted to ask how comfy it is.

Spare me the hot/cold thing, I know...had a Skunk2 metal knob in my Integra years ago.

I like my CR knob a lot more than my old AP1 knob.

I put one on, and absolutely love it. I've always preferred the feel of a simple, classic round ball in my hand (no lurid comments, please...), it just fits the palm of my hand better. I can grab it in any position (from the top or side). It also shortens the shift throw a bit, gives a little crisper feel. It's the best $50 I've spent on a car (and costs less than a full tank of gas).

How big is the knob, roughly? Golf ball? Bigger/smaller than the stock one?

I think the CR is countersunk. For about the same money you can get a voodoo. I have one and I love it. Just some food for thought.

Just bought it on eBay!

Actually got the Civic FD2 knob, which is the same except for red lettering. Can't wait.

The CR knob is very similar to the Voodoo knobs...they are countersunk. I prefer the Voodoo knobs personally though, I think it looks much cleaner with no gear outline.

The CR is slightly lighter than stock, and as far as size is smaller overall than a tennis ball. It is counter sunk, so it will sit lower, I guess the only knock is the yellow shift pattern. This can be remedied with red nail polish and a fine brush.

The yellow shift pattern on the CR knob is a perfect match for those of us with yellow cars!

Imagine having something a shift knob the size of a tennis ball.
