Anyone use cruise control?

I actually use it a lot, as it keeps me from going twice the speed limit. As for curves, doing 68 on cruise through a posted 40 or whatever gives just as much thrill as not using cruise. Frankly I like the fact that it can be turned on 'once' and let on forever. You only need hit the set button even when restarting the car. What I don't like is having to hit double buttons on the steering to cancel it. That's a very dumb design. I would have done the workaround to eliminate it (posted on an earlier threads) if it was a daily driver.

I have used it, mostly on long trips on straight freeways. Sometimes I set it for 5-9 miles above the speed limit but use the throttle to accelerate to a much higher speed but if I need to slow down I just let up off the gas and it cruises at a speed that I won't get a ticket for.
One thing I really like is that every push of the button = 1mph. So if you want to go 5 mph faster you press accel button 5 times. It only took me a year to figure that one out

I use it when I am on one of the Interstates, or on our local Cross Island Expressway. I leave the on/off switch in the 'on' position all the time, which does no harm, and use the steering wheels controls to activate. This is the first time I have seen cruise control used in conjunction with a digital speedometer, and the combination is really excellent. Speed always stays on the exact mph commanded, and you can increment up or down in 1mph increments by tapping the buttons briefly. In a fast car, cruise control is a great way to avoid speed creep and the resultant encounter with The Long Arm of The Law.

Interestingly, just yesterday I used my cruise control for the first time. I was going up the interstate for a couple of hundred miles and found it quite relaxing to be able to stretch out my right leg, rather than keeping it on the pedal. I'm 6'3" and an occassional change of position on a relatively long drive is a good thing.
I was able to quite effectively control speeds with the two buttons on the steetring wheel.

Since bringing the subject up, I decided to actually use it last night for the first time. I will leave it "on" and use the steering wheel buttons to engage it when I need to, since my daily drive takes me on long stretches of freeway.
