Ive been lazy mainly cause its like a million degrees here in socal but thanks for the tip. I'm gonna get some cardboard, make a mock platform and just try to wing it and cover the plywood with some foam padding and fabric. hopefully it'll work out.

What is a dog seat belt harness? I have a dog harness (around her chest with a ring on the back) for riding a bike with her next to me and I just leash her there and tie it behind the headrest on the seat but she still moves around. If I tighten it up so she doesn't move around as much, she can't lay down

I managed to wrangle my St. Bernard into the passenger seat once (once was enough) many years ago but neither of us enjoyed it. I'm sure I took a picture because it was so funny, but I can't find it now. She travelled just fine stretched out along the back seat of a truck or SUV but there just wasn't enough room in the S. Plus all the drool....

I'm torn between a Lab (had one growing up) or a German Shepherd. both are about the same size, but at the prospect of moving within the next 5 years, S2000 co-pilotability is a must. I'm liking the platform/front seat idea though!

48 lbs. Boxer named Jinger. We were on our way back from a meet where she was chasing R/C cars all day. She was tired.
