Had my best friends 90lb rottweiler with me for 2 days. Initially she expected the s2000 to have backseats like my old subaru, which became clear when she walked face first in to the center compartment. After that she was just fine. Sat up, head out the window and everything. I just took turns slower than usual.

I'm not home or near my office until next week.

"Ready?"

"Let's Go!"

It was all just scrap I had lying around.

If this is an option, why not just remove the passenger seat?
I used to take my boxer in my S all the time. He would be uncomfortable but it was just short trips to the dog park. For long trips I would pull out the seat.

I've done that... but Cleo was only about 75lbs so fit just fine with the seat in.
And Doc is only 4months old...

plus this footwell shelf drops in (and comes out)in seconds and fits in the trunk.
So I could still give someone else a ride if I wanted.

Maybe I'm lazy, but honestly I've removed the seats to many times already to work on the car... don't want to do it just to take the dog for a ride!

I would appreciate blueprints or basic measurements too, great idea!

I would be "in" for some measurements as well.

Thats a gorgeous GSD, I can see why youd want to take her with you in the S! I would trim a sheet of cardboard into the shape that would match your seat positioning then transfer that to a sheet of 3/4" plywood. With the same sheet of cardboard, measure underneath it to figure out how tall you need to make the supports that touch the floor.

My 80lb hound dog loves to ride in the S2k. I put a blanket on the seat for her to sit on, buckle her in to a dog seatbelt harness and she just kicks back and enjoys the ride. Other than drooling all over the dash, she's caused no incidents.
