Default Anyone remove the hooks behind the seats?

I removed the hooks behind the seats on my S2000 last week. It seems that it gave a little more leg room and the seat reclines back more. Also the hooks don't press into the leather on back of the seats. Anyone else tried this?

Did you replace the hooks with an ordinary screw? Seems to me their absence might leave those panels a little loose, which might not matter if you didn't have a rear speaker mod like Lucid's (as I do).

Nope, the factory screws hold the panels in tightly just like before without the hooks.

Yep..I did this on my driver's seat but have a leather storage stachel behind passenger seat. I did put the screws back in BTW.
The drawback is the seat rubs against the bulkhead and can be damn annoying ..almost like a rattle at times.

Did mine too. Now remove your visors.

It doesn't look like there's much to be gained from removing the visors. It is supposed to give you more viewable 'windshield' space?

Yep, did it when I installed my first set of replacement speakers earlier this year. I am only 5' 8" but i figured what the heck.

I removed the panels when wiring for my CD Changer, I never bothered to put them back. Until I get rear speakers there's no reason. I'm 6' and the seats are all the way back, you can't even see that the panel is missing.

Well I'm 6'3" so every centimeter counts. It only takes five minutes and they are useless anyway. Just try it for a week and see what you think.

(Or is this about the new Muz Visors? )
