Anyone regret buying a daily driver ?

I love having a separate DD. I would rather not run the miles up on my S for boring trips like going to work and I would worry about it while I'm at work at night (I work overnight and the parking lot is not well lit or supervised). It also stays cleaner and feels like a treat when I can take it out

I have a comfy DD, a Lincoln Town Car, is great when Im tired and lazy feeling in the morning on the way to work. Its awesome when I need a big ass trunk, or when I need to fit 5 ppl in the car.
Plus here in Chicago, winters are....salty oh so salty.

In a strange way yes.
Driving a legacy gt stage 2 has shown me I don't care for the small cabin and loud ride of the s2k like I used to. The mid range power is easily twice the S. I dragged my wife once and the subi is faster. With family and dog the S is up for sale. This never would have happened had it remained my daily. Which is funny because as a DD goes it wasn't a commuting car due to my work.

Except both yes & no.
Yes b.c i want/need more comfort now. I can't even imagine how i use to DD my s2k before with full coils, scer, loud exhaust; etc.
But No, b.c it makes driving my exige or s2k that much more enjoyable. For me everything gets boring. I need variety. I love having multiple cars for that. keeps me entertained longer.

Not in the slightest. I quite like driving an automatic car during the week and not having to worry about door dings, sun exposure, racking up mileage in traffic, etc. like others have mentioned. I can't imagine not having a daily driver for as long as I own the S2000. It just makes driving the S that much more of a special event than if I were to daily it.

I myself kinda regret daily driving my s2k, even though It was fun! I used to daily drive it 40 miles back and forth to work round trip. Most of the time I would just try to leave work ASAP just so I can drive it. Even though I was using the carpool with my girlfriend, a lot of miles have racked up on it. Started with 21k miles when it was new to me. Once I got a second car finally , I took it off of daily duties at 80k on the clock. Now it is a weekend car and I probably have been putting about close to 500 miles a month so far. I am actually trying to aim for less but man it is hard not to take her out for a spin just for the hell of it on weekdays once in a while! The regret I have is having so many miles on it before I got a chance to put in some better engine mods and dyno tuning it. Driving it on the weekends now makes me appreciate it even more after driving a civic all week!

I DD my car for the last 8 years. I love driving it every times I get into it. But I only work 4 miles from home so it only a 10 minutes drive each way. And it sit outside for 7 hours per day. Lately I've been thinking about getting a DD maybe something alittle more comfortable. And only drive my S on the weekend.
So my question is for those that bought a DD. Do you regret it because now you barely drive the S ?

So it has been relegated to track/autocross days & sunny weather cruising while the Pathfinder does all other duties. I tried selling the truck with no success (I really hate Craigslist with a passion), so it remains my DD. Do I regret buying it? No. Do I wish I didn't have it so I have an excuse to drive my S every day like I used to? Yes lol. I guess that didn't really answer your original question...

I have always had a daily driver in addition to my S2000. I am easily bored by cars after a while and so having a DD has been key to enjoying my S2000. I have had my S2000 for six years. This is longer than I have ever owned any car other than wife's Pilot, in my 26 years of driving. In that time, I have gone through three daily drivers: 2006 Acura RL, 2009 Cadi CTS-V sedan, and now a 2013 Cadi CTS-V 6MT wagon. These are all entertaining daily drivers, and the V wagon is a keeper, like the S2000.
I'm now looking to not put as many miles on the unicornianly rare V wagon--I've put almost 23k miles on it in 17 months, I love driving it as much as the S, and it actually carries stuff!-- and plan to add a leased car to the stable soon, likely an Acura RLX sport hybrid if they ever release it. Definitely keeping the V and the S. In the meantime....now that it's warm, I've pressed my S2000 into daily service. It is an AWESOME daily so if you daily yours, have no shame. I can rev the snot out of it and still be near the speed limit, where at the top of third gear in the V, I'm doing felony speeding, literally. It is quite comfortable and now that I've swapped out the dismal stock radio this year for a BT unit what allows hands free calls, I am sufficiently up to date tech wise in the S.
Man that was a tome, but Cliff's is "no".
The best of America and the best of Japan in one garage. I am so lucky.
