anyone know why the windshield chips so easily?
i've got a ton on mine and never had the same experience with any other honda. maybe it's the speed.

Personally I'll take the near vertical windshield and the rock damage over a sloped windshield. I find having the corner of the windshield right next to my head distracting and I dislike having to crawl around it to get in and out of the car.
Hey, chips happen.

3 chips. two repairs. 31,500 miles
I've had 15 cars and this is the only one I've ever gotten chips on. Plus, my Celica was driven 12 years, 125K miles. Ranger 8 years, 90K miles.
(Toyota Corolla, Celica, Camry; Ford Escort, Mustang, (2) Explorers, Ranger; Mitsubishi Galant, Jaguar XJ6, Chrysler Sebring, Cherokee, Wrangler; Mazda Miata; Honda S2K, Accord)

I don't think you can count chips you get when a gravel train goes by, you hear a rock hit and spot a new chip. HoweverI usually clean the windshield after a drive an I have spotted a few small nicks that I know didn't come from obvious rock hits. The car seems prone to them but the trade off is worth it to me.

It's also partly to do with the type of glass that Honda uses. It has been said that if you ever replace the windshield, go with an aftermarket one and you'll find that these don't pit quite as much as if you went with OEM Honda windshields.

"It's the car's aerodynamics matched with a near vertical windshield."
I don't think it has much to do with aerodynamics. I believe it's simply the height of the car. My old Cherokee got chips all over the front grill which happens to be at the same height as the S windshield.
