Anyone know dealer cost on Hondacare?
I am looking at 7yr/100k Hondacare because I am paranoid. I do not want non-Honda warranty.
MY01 S2k, 30k miles, I am being told that cost is $1130 + an extra $60 because I am over 24,000 miles. A guy I know will sell me the warranty for $50 over that.
I called another dealer and they want $1495 for the same warranty, so I am assuming the first guy is telling the truth.
Anybody work at a dealer that can verify or contradict that?

When I bought a 2003 Pilot, I asked about a 7/75 warranty for my 00 S2000. Since I also purchased that car at the same dealer they offered $100 over their cost. Finance man showed me the book. The dealer cost was $650. I think the 7/100 was $850 but I'm not sure as I was not really pricing that plan. I have also heard that HondaCare is available until 42 months after purchase, but again this is unverified.

There was a long thread on this a while back: http://forums.s2ki.com/forums/showthread.p...50&pagenumber=3
I think you could use those numbers to get pretty close to cost.

I bought the 7yrs/75k mile HondaCare warranty last October from Jeff @ Balize Honda in Westfield Mass for $855. This included the $60 surcharge for the 36K eligibility factor. Handled everything by telephone and Fed-Ex. Smooth process.
