Default Anyone have powdercoated wheels on a Spa?

I have a Spa and am getting my stock wheels powdercoated a gunmetal color. I have the swatch ready to go. But I wanted to know if anyone else has this done (on a spa) and what paint code was used. Pics would be appreciated if available.

Thanx,
Chris

You should get quite a few hits using the search.

Several, I mean most, of the HouStooks have powdercoated their wheels. Our price was $50 per wheel for powdercoat only and an extra $25 per wheel if you wanted it clearcoated too. I would suggest the clearcoat! I had both my sets done, one w/ clear coat and one w/o. The one w/o has become very dull.

Here is S2000-Soto's spa and my red.

I heard that powerdercoating weakens the wheels because of the baking process.

Any experiences with that?

I have over 50k miles on my wheels and haven't had a problem yet.

The shop knew what temp they should "bake" the wheels. Just make sure that you take it to reputable shop.

Thats exactly what I needed, and it looks great. I can't wait to get mine done, especially with my kg/mm's at the same time.

Thanx alot,
Chris

I forgot that we have a Suzuka Blue that recently went "against the grain" and picked a "Black Chrome" color instead of the HouStook "Glossy Black". It looks a lot like the gunmetal.

Here are some pics for you.

You can compare the rims from the pic above to the one below to see the difference.
