Anyone have minor scratches on rear windshield?
I've got a row of short vertical scratches (1/8 inch in length) on my rear windshield (from the left, all the way to the right of the windshield). about 1 inch down from the edge of the top of the windshield. anyone encountered anything like this?
could it be caused by the top folding in on it? can't figure it out...

YEP! I've got them too. Just as you described. They first showed up about four or five weeks ago (when the car was just under a year old). A few weeks ago, I did a search on the site but didn't find any posts which reported the same problem. Made me think it was just me.
Now I wonder if it's just an '04 thing? I'll be very interested to see how many drivers report they have the same issue, as it could end-up being a warranty claim.
Thanks for getting this topic started!

I get those, but their not actually scratches, just where the top touches the glass. It usually wipes off without scratches.
I used to get it really bad when I used the top cleaner and made my soft top all nice and dark. Every time I dropped the top and then later put it back up, I'd get this nasty greasy film on the rear glass so I stopped using the top shine goop.

I really wasn't concerned since the goop marks wipe off. Since you guys brought this to my attention, I think I better take a closer look at the marks...just to make sure they are not scratches.

shoot. I noticed it abt 3-4 weeks ago too! what with all the pollen on the top...
yes, it does wipe off. but when you look at the glass from certain angles (from inside and outside), you DO see it!!! depends on lighting too.... trying not to be paranoid about it but it does bug me sometimes....
