Default Anyone ever got ticket for missing license plate?

I've got ticket earlier today. The thing is I have a new bumper in my S, during the installation process, I forgot to mount a metal tab behind the bumper to hold the licence plate screws. Seriously, i dont want to take the bumper out just to remount that retarded metal pieces. Is there another way of mounting license plate or somewhere else?? Any suggestion? Thanks.

they will dismiss this ticket usually show them proof that you have the license plate on (take a pic)

are you talkin about the front or rear bumper?

Yeah, if you can show that you have it back on (pics and drive the S to court that day), I'm sure they'll dismiss it. Tell them you took it off to wax the bumper the weekend before you got the ticket and forgot to put it back on.

I got a ticket for no front plate when I used to live in NY. They would not dismiss it even if I put it back on. Ticket including surcharge ended up costing me $100 Pretty steep! So I just did this and drove around without any more fear of the Po Po.

Oh. And if you're worried about the plate blocking airflow or anything, I had never seen 4 bars on the temp. gauge and it gets pretty hot and humid in NY during the summer months. On a side note: I know that the OE temp. gauge isn't very accurate, so maybe someone that has an aftermarket temp. gauge can chime in and let us know if there is in fact a rise in the coolant temp when you partially block the front opening.

If you don't want to damage your front bumper and you only need the plate on for inspection/photo, use velcro. It will secure the plate long enough for the time you will need it.

Works for me.

My tickets get write off 2-3 times after that I have to pay paperwork fee for $15. I think it's depend on your state laws.

I had that same setup and never noticed the temp bar above 3. (AP1) I got a ticket out of state, and it was a big hassle, so I just folded the plate in half and zip tied it onto the front grill.

gotten two of these tics
here in calif i had to drive the car down to the police station to show them the mounted plate (i tied the plate on with plastic ties in the grill), and they sign it off.
so i leave it on long enough to get it signed off then remove it again!
