Default Anyone bypass 06+ Passenger Weight Sensor?

We all know of the pesky drivers side position & passenger side weight sensor. Just wanted to know if anyone has attempted anything to bypass these and avoid the SRS light?

I have my passenger seat in my room now and trying to figure this thing out...

I think that light determines whether the SRS airbag is on or off. Your passenger would have no airbag if that light is off.

There is no work around on the weight sensor as of right now. You can change the drivers seat no problem. you just have to remove a sensor from the factory rail and place it on the floor under the driver's seat. The passenger seat is another story though. That cannot be changed without getting a SRS light. There is also a hump that they added in the floor of the 06.

Well....I've been unsuccessful. First I tried to bypass the weight sensor module entirely. There are three pins, 1 power, 2 ground and 3 signal(goes to SRS). I tapped into the Signal wire to see what happens with and without a passenger seated and I got battery voltage out both times. I was hoping it'd be a trigger voltage to turn the airbag on/off.

Next, I tried to keep the module but simulate the weight sensors themselves. I'm assuming these are strain gauges which change resistance depeding on compression/extension. So I hooked up an ohmmeter and read 170K. The value stayed the same with and without me on the seat. So I started fiddling around it some more and discovered it has a diode drop across the sensor(about 0.51V), which started to make me think a bit. I found a 12VDC diode from my tool box; read 170K and also 0.51 volts when I do a diode check. Hmm...just like the stock unit. So I plug in two diodes, one for each weight sensor to the control unit. Unfortunatley the SRS light tripped again.

I'll probably revisit this again, see what's really coming out that Signal wire. Maybe its a frequency controlled trigger?

Any updates on this development? I have a similar dilemma right now and since it's been few years since this post, wondering if anyone was successful and could share some info?
Thanks.
