I have seen Airgate's car photos and others with the silver (sebring or silverstone) with the tape removed.

I have a red. I am curious what a RED car looks like without the tape.

If any red owners have done this please post head on and angled front shots.

Go to a local book/magazine store and find that $8 european car magazine. I believe it's called "Car" or "Euro" forgot the name...but they have an article inside comparing a red S2K and a red porsche. There's a couple of pics inside where you have a pretty good view of the tape removed. It looks pretty darn ! It's the issue with a black Jaguar TypeR on the cover. I think it's the May issue...

if you put your top down...its the tape that goes around the outside of your windsheild..the tape is black and it covers the painted part of your car underneath...do remember that once taken off this tape can't be put back on and your stuck with it..unless you take to dealer...also you might not want to do if you have later models because of the paint fading..might not match

how is the paint quality under the tape? when i open the door and look at where the tape begins, the paint seems to not have the clearcoat (duh!)...you know, has that rough feeling to it...but i was wondering if the clearcoat was applied before the tape was put on? in other words, when the tape is removed, does the paint have a rough or smooth feeling to it?

oh, i'd like to know especially on a sebring silver if anyone with a sebring has done it. thanks!

Under that black tape is the body color of the car (in my case it would be silver under it). It's black now so it makes a nice transition when the black canvas top is up where the two meet. I'm not sure how it would look with it the body color.

Anyone have any pics?
