Any problems with Carbon Fiber Hoods with vents?
Has anybody had any problems with the vents on the CF hoods, of water getting inside when raining. On the js racing, top secret, and mugen replicas, I see that in the pictures they look like they are opened, with just a little grill in front of it. Just wondering if the water really does get in at all or not.

Water comes in freely and falls on the engine and various other parts. Don't worry about it. The engine is waterproof unless you suck it in via the intake. A vented hood won't do this unless you drive around with the airbox lid off. Additionally, when the engine gets wet, it won't shrink, either.

I was surprised by just how little water gets in when it's raining.
Keep in mind that most water you get splashing your engine comes from spray thrown up from underneath the car. Unless you have a turbo manifold that you don't want to dump cold water on when it's hot, I wouldn't worry about it.
