it does not apply to the 01' models, but you may want to read the symptoms.

The symptoms are an exact match. I remember seeing other 01' owners talking about this when I first got the car. I did not notice it at that time though.

Anyone else have the "loose" drivetrain sensation as you depress the clutch when going slow in first gear?

How about the bump feeling through the seat (bottom of the car) as you shift (row) gears (1-2, 2-3, 3-1, etc) while coasting with the clutch depressed?

This sounds like a job for Clik and Clack!

If you call them, tell them it is Suzuka Blue when they ask.

Scott, I'm in Ballwin and if you want, we can compare cars tomorrow assuming the weather is clear. If you want, I'll be home tomorrow afternoon, just give me a call: 636-527-3005.

s2K_scott,

I get a clunck when shifting between gears. It's pretty normal, especially when the tranny is cold.

Scott, I was out this morning running errands, and I'll be out for a little of the afternoon, but give me a call anyways.

I am pretty sure that this is a function of the emission system. There is a pre-heater on the catylitic (sp?) converter to lower emissions while the engine and exaust is cold. I am going to take it to the dealer to have it inspected. Sounds like I am supercharged for the first 45 seconds from a cold start
